Traditional wet screed

Traditional method using a larger amount of water, with longer installation and drying times.

• − Higher water content The higher moisture content extends the drying process.
• − Higher risk of shrinkage, cracking and deformation The higher water content can contribute to shrinkage and defects during drying.
• − Longer installation time The process requires more time for installation and subsequent drying.
• − Potential leveling inaccuracies Manual leveling can make it more difficult to achieve a perfectly uniform surface.
• − Longer drying time Depending on site conditions, it may take between 7 and 14 days before the surface can be walked on, and around 20 days for complete drying.
• − Potential additional work Additional leveling work or a greater amount of adhesive may be required.
